The Angelini Mallets Bass Drum – Opera Series RLB is a line of 6 different mallets (4 pairs and 2 single models), designed for professional percussionists to satisfy every sound request within the Opera and Symphonic repertoire.

The Bass Drum – Opera Series RLB has been developed in cooperation with Prof. Rocco Luigi Bitondo, Percussionist at the Opera of Rome.

Every mallet has different wooden head, either uncoated or covered with felt or leather.

The handle is made of selected maple, with a special ergonomic thicker grip, which is perfectly suited to both the classic or American grip.
Handles are carved with CNC (Computer Numerical Control), to avoid any kind of flaw. The best available technologies allow us to guarantee that each pair will have the same weight and the same pitch. The whole process ensures durable mallets and a perfect balanced and quality sound.

The Bass Drum – Opera Series RLB consists of 6 models:

• BDS-1 is a pair of mallets with wooden head, providing staccato and articulate sound;
• BDS-2 is a pair of mallets with wooden head covered with high-quality chamois leather, for staccato and articulate sound but a softer attack, specifically designed for Stravinsky’s Rite of Spring;
• BDS-3 is a single mallet with wooden head covered with chamois leather, for a really powerful sound;
• BDF-1 is pair of mallets with wooden head covered with a layer of soft high-quality felt, ideal for articulated rolls with a round attack;
• BDF-2, is pair of mallets with wooden head covered with a medium layer of soft high-quality felt, ideal for powerful rolls;
• BDF-3, is a single mallet with wooden head covered with a very thick and soft layer of high-quality felt, for the most powerful yet smooth sound.

The BDS-3 model is a single mallet providing a very powerful sound, for specific operatic and symphonic passages.
