SoundArt Concert Snare Drums offer straight ahead concert performance for musicians at all levels. The SoundArt Strainer was the first trio snare system directly integrated into the throwoff, giving players accurate and unprecedented control of snare unit tension. The cable and wire units engage simultaneously to provide a full, responsive snare voice throughout the dynamic spectrum.

The SoundArt Snare System

The SoundArt Snare System works as a cohesive unit and blends 3 snare systems together for a consistent tonal and dynamic response at all playing levels. This system is precisely machined in the USA from aircraft grade aluminum.
The SoundArt Snare System is made by:

• 8 Stainless, 8 Blue and 5 Wire Wound (used on 4″ and 5.5″ shells);
• 6 Stainless, 4 Gold, 4 Blue and 5 Wire Wound (used on 6.5″ and 7″ shells).

Different Shells

• Maple Shell

  The 7-ply Maple shells offer an excellent balance of characteristics that have made it a workhorse in concert and orchestral music for over a century. Our bearing edges are shaped to bring out the natural body, warmth, and clarity that maple has to offer.

• Beaded Brass

  Brass is a commanding voice in Black Swamp snare drum arsenal. It’s bright and very sensitive, with a character that can cut through the thickest orchestral textures. However it still retains a measure of tone due to the thin wall and flanged bearing edges.

• Titanium Elite

  Titanium is inherently crisp and articulate, but retains a pleasing warmth that will surprise and delight your ears. These drums “play deep” and have an exceptional tuning range. All the hardware holes are cut by laser, and we then craft the bearing edges and satin finish by hand. Truly a fabulous instrument to add to your drum collection.

Finishing

SoundArt Series snare drums are available in different finishes, depending on shells:

• Maple Shells, available in a satin Cherry Rosewood or Concert Black finish;
• Beaded Brass, available in Black Nickel Plated finish;
• Titanium Elite, available in Brushed Satin finish.

Accessories

SoundArt Series snare drums include the Deluxe Padded Drum Case, a Microfiber Cleaning Cloth and the Black Swamp Drum Key.

Fine Tuning

SoundArt Series snare drums are tuned, tweaked and tested by a professional percussionist before to leave the factory.
